NorCal BMA Board Members serve the needs of the Northern California B2B marketing communications community in a myriad ways, overseeing activities and programs, planning and organizing marketing seminars, and upholding the highest professional standards in B2B marketing. Ted Kohnen, President

Ted has been an active member of the BMA both in the NYC chapter and at the national level. As President of BMA NorCal, Ted is responsible for overseeing all activities of the Chapter. Ted works closely with the Board to develop and execute educational programs, events and other opportunities that continually offer great value to BMA members. Ted is the Managing Director of Stein IAS San Francisco driving brand and business objectives for clients in technology, financial services, business services, media and other important B2B sectors. For nearly a decade, Ted was Stein IAS’ Chief Marketing Officer, building the Agency’s award-winning integrated marketing and data analytics practice in the Americas and driving the communications efforts of the agency on a global scale. At the same time, Ted has been an engagement lead and brand steward for global brands such as ADP, Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), Juniper Networks, PR Newswire, Towers Watson, TheLadders, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Key Technology. Dirk Roth

Dirk Roth, Treasurer

Dirk has over 9 years of experience in media & marketing. He works for Intuit in Mountain View. Before Dirk joined Intuit he was heading up Marketing & Business Development at a FinTech startup in Mountain View. Before that he developed integrated marketing campaigns for Germany’s biggest broadcaster promoting large-scale events with stars like Sam Smith, Metallica, and Bruno Mars. Dirk created and ran co-marketing initiatives with high-profile companies such as McDonald’s, Lufthansa, and Expedia. Dirk earned an MBA from Germany’s top-ranked business school in Mannheim with international courses at NYU Stern School of Business, ESSEC Paris & Singapore, and Tongji University Shanghai. Isabelle Coste, Director, ANA and BMA Relations

Isabelle is the Vice President of marketing at Tely, leading a great team to enable HD video collaboration to be deployed deeper into enterprises. Throughout her high-tech career, she built meaningful B2B and B2C brands and drove sales results through innovative marketing, channel, partnership and communication conceived strategies and executions. Previously, she held marketing executive roles at Logitech and Hewlett-Packard. Truly multicultural, Isabelle has lived and worked in the US and various countries across Europe. Tony Harris, Past President

Harris is the immediate Past President for NorCalBMA. He has over 15-years experience in B2B enterprise technology marketing and is currently Sr Manager, Global Demand Center at NetApp in Sunnyvale, where he is leading global teams to programs to deliver marketing qualified leads to sales. Prior to NetApp, Tony was Senior Marketing Manager at Cisco, responsible for strategic programs in the service provider market. Prior to Cisco Tony served as Director of Worldwide Demand Generation at Genesys, preceded by assignments as Product Marketing Manager and Consultant launching products at Adobe, Intuit, and three start-ups. Kirsti Scott is the Creative Director and founder of Scott Design. She began her career as a software engineer, was an art director at a Silicon Valley agency, and founded Scott Design in 1993. For more than 20 years she has led the design team, creating award-winning web, interactive, and integrated marketing campaigns for industry leaders in technology. Kirsti is on the board of the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce, an advisor to Digital NEST, a trustee of York School in Monterey, a co-founder of 100 Women Who Care Santa Cruz and TEDxSantaCruz, and is on the board for the Monterey Bay Stanford Club.
