How To Tell Your (Marketing) Story In The Digital Age
Stories engage. Stories are how we remember. Moreover, the ability to tell a good story is more important than ever, as marketers adopt social networking and video — media that lend themselves especially well to storytelling. But, marketers can use all the right storytelling techniques, but remain ineffective if they lack authenticity. Ironically, the elements that make a story authentic (conflict, struggle and vulnerability) are the very techniques technology marketers are trained to avoid.
In this presentation, Gartner analyst Richard Fouts shares his research for how leading marketers advance their goals and objectives through storytelling. Attendees will also leave with a storytelling model they can immediately put into action. During this multi-media presentation, Richard will answer practical questions like:
- How do you distill your firm’s broad range of capabilities into a crisp, compelling story that leaves a lasting impression?
- How do leading marketers use storytelling to reinforce their market position, brand and messaging?
- What are the key elements of a storytelling model that really works?
