You can’t turn on your TV or computer these days without hearing some mention of Twitter. What started in 2006 as a side project within Odeo, a now-defunct podcasting company, turned into a "micro-blogging" phenomenon to be reckoned with. How much of a phenomenon, you ask? Last month, over 10 million users logged over 300 million minutes. No doubt about it, Twitter has become the social media tool for marketers. But should it be used for business? And if so, how and when? That’s what NorCal BMA’s June 30th Panel Discussion and Networking Event is all about.

Michael Brito (@Britopian), Social Media Strategist at Intel; LaSandra Brill (@LaSandraBrill), Manager, Web & Social Media Marketing at Cisco Systems and Michael Moeschler (@moesch) Supervisor at Voce Communications and product PR liaison for NetApp will look at Twitter from a business use perspective, share their experiences with the tool and the examine the pros and cons of using Twitter for business.

This will be an interactive event, so bring your questions and ideas.
