The Northern California Chapter of the Business Marketing Association was first established in San Francisco in 1938.

Nancy ChouNANCY CHOU
President
Chou is a nimble, relevant and results oriented VP of marketing and strategic marketing consultant, skilled in marketing, business development and sales.  She has worked with Fortune 500 and startup companies in b2b and b2c business, most recently in the enterprise and consumer security software and green tech markets.  She is a Certified Social Media Strategist by the Social Media Academy in Palo Alto, CA.  Nancy received her MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and is a former marketing instructor at the Stanford Continuing Studies Program.

Josef ChervenkaJOSEF CHERVENKA
Chair/VP, Finance
Chervenka joined the Norcal BMA Board in 2007 as VP, Finance and has also served for 3 years as Board President. Josef has over 12 years of experience, working primarily in marketing, sales, and consulting positions with both startups and large corporations. Recently he served as the Pacific Northwest Tax Markets Operations Leader with Ernst & Young, the Big 4 accounting firm.

Laura RamosLAURA RAMOS
VP, Programs
Ramos is a leading expert in business-to-business (B2B) marketing with hands-on senior management experience in corporate, industry and product marketing, demand management, and social media. She helps Forrester’s CMO clients plan, build, and deliver marketing programs that combine traditional, digital, and social approaches that lead with business issues and fuel their company’s topline growth. Before rejoining Forrester in 2013, Laura ran industry marketing for Xerox, and also held marketing leadership positions at Verity, Stratify (now part of Iron Mountain), Vitria Technology, Sybase, and Tandem Computers. Laura is a well-regarded speaker and moderator at such venues as the ANA, BMA, ITSMA national user conference, and the MarketingProfs B2B Forum. She was named to BtoB Magazine’s “Who’s Who” list for four years, most recently in 2010. In 2011 and 2012, BtoB named her to their list of “Top 25 Digital Marketers.”

Aaron KahlowAARON KAHLOWA
VP, Membership & Professional Dev
Kahlow leads the Online Marketing Institute — the leading eLearning platform & training destination for digital marketing education.  He is one of the most recognized thought-leaders in the Digital Marketing and Social Media space.  Named Metropolitan Magazine’s “Top 40 Entrepreneurs under the Age of 40” Kahlow is also well known for his endless energy as an Entrepreneur. Having built Business Online from three guys and a brother in a dentist office to BtoB Digital Agency of the Year; founding and selling the industry’s premier digital marketing event, the Online Marketing Summit and now on his third successful start up, Online Marketing Institute, Kahlow is synonymous with building successful digital companies. Kahlow also has served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Board to many digital associations and media companies like the International Business Marketers Association, Search Engine Strategies/ClickZ, Microsoft/ BING Prof. Accreditation, Social Media Examiner, as well as many digital technology start-ups.

Wally PalmerWALLY PALMER
Director, Sponsorships & Partnerships
Palmer has over 20 years of experience in applied research, building and executing strategic research and marketing tools for clients targeting the consumer and B2B technology market. His background includes managing and conducting all types of quantitative primary research studies. Wally has also designed and published market research reports for several key IT market segments and is an expert in syndicated research. His considerable accomplishments include the creation of a “goldmine technology tool” that helps IT vendors more accurately identify important markets and potential hardware and software buyers. Before starting Palmer Research in 2002, Wally was Vice President of Research at the InfoWorld Media Group (an IDG company) and held senior level sales, marketing and research positions at CapCities-ABC. Wally is a graduate of Dartmouth College and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

Tony HarrisTONY HARRIS
Director, Social Media
Harris is serving as Director of Social Media for NorCalBMA. He has over 15 years experience in B2B enterprise technology marketing and is currently Marketing Programs Consultant at NetApp in Sunnyvale, where he is leading global teams to deliver installed base and competitive sales programs. Prior to NetApp, Tony was Senior Marketing Manager at Cisco, responsible for strategic programs in the service provider market. Prior to Cisco Tony served as Director of Worldwide Demand Generation at Genesys, preceded by assignments as Product Marketing Manager and Consultant launching products at Adobe, Intuit, and three start-ups. Tony served as a Captain in the US Air Force and earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelors of Business from USC. He lives in San Francisco.

Gina MilaniGINA MILANI
Director, Public Relations
Milani is an accomplished integrated marketer with a particular passion for public relations. She has over 25 years of combined experience in high technology and government relations-related positions, and has run her own virtual PR agency for 12 years. She specializes in developing successful communications infrastructures for small to medium-sized enterprise technology companies including start-ups. While focusing on the PR aspect of the marketing mix, she leverages her personal network and her expertise in strategic planning, positioning, and tight project and budget management. She is President of Milani Marketing & Public Relations, LLC, and the 2013 Northern California BMA chapter Public Relations Director. Gina holds a B.A. in Advertising from San Jose State University with concentrations in Journalism and Marketing.

Jenna Cheng B/WLENNA CHENG
Director, Young Professionals Program
Cheng is a seasoned marketing consultant who believes in the value of insight-driven strategy to organizational growth. By leveraging competitive, market and customer insights, she works collaboratively with clients to guide online marketing and sales initiatives. Over the past 8 years, she has led and executed over 60 global consulting engagements for clients ranging from SMEs to Fortune 500 companies. She helps US and Asia companies grow through strategic marketing planning and execution and translates business pains into creative marketing solutions through a collaborative approach.

Ladan MizrachiLADAN MIZRACHI
Co-Director, Social Media
Ladan is a global digital marketing communications manager with more than 15 years experience in all aspect. of strategic planning, operations, communications management and execution.   She is currently Project consultant for Cisco Systems in San Jose, California. She has served in event management, project management and business development roles with leading global companies including Cisco, Sony and Synopsys. Ladan is an adjunct instructor at UCSC-Extension where she is teaching database marketing and advanced social media courses. She holds an MBA in Marketing from Derby University and a BA from Open University, both of Israel.
